Local project conditions

Metalwork designed for Cap d’Antibes villas and coastal conditions.

On Cap d’Antibes, an external metalwork project often has to preserve a sea view, sit comfortably within an established garden and withstand sustained marine exposure. A gate, balustrade or pergola is therefore developed in relation to the terrain, the architecture and the way the property is used every day.

Steel, stainless steel, glass and the appropriate protective finishes are selected after the site has been assessed. Close to the sea, particular attention is paid to joints, water run-off, contact between different metals and the ability to clean and maintain the finished work properly.

F. Labbé can work from an architect’s package or directly with a property owner. Our design office resolves the fabrication and fixing details, the Nice workshop makes the components, and our installation team organises the work on site.

Design office · Workshop · Installation

From the initial survey to installation around Antibes.

The first discussion establishes the type of work, location, available dimensions and expected finish. Photographs and a drawing are usually enough to begin a useful technical review.

A site visit then confirms supports, levels, clearances and handling conditions. For an automated gate, we check gradient, opening space, wind exposure and power provision. For a balustrade, we review fixings and waterproofed surfaces alongside the architectural line.

Fabrication takes place at our Ginestière workshop in Nice. Installation is coordinated with the client, architect and other contractors so that finished stonework, landscaping and occupied areas are protected.
