One workshop, but no standard answer for very different buildings.
Contemporary villas in Mougins, apartment buildings in Cannes and steep coastal properties towards Théoule-sur-Mer present very different conditions. The same gate, staircase or balustrade design cannot respond properly to every one of these settings.
We begin with the purpose of the work: controlling an entrance, protecting an edge without blocking the view, linking two levels or creating shade. Proportions and materials are then developed alongside the façade, windows, stonework and landscape design.
For an architect-led project, F. Labbé prepares the details required for manufacture and installation. For a private owner, a few photographs and approximate dimensions are enough to organise the first conversation and identify what information is still needed.

Access, parking, working hours and lifting possibilities are reviewed before manufacture. This preparation is particularly important for large components and for properties whose interiors and gardens are already finished.
Workshop drawings define sections, joints, ironmongery, automation and finishes. Interfaces with masonry, electrical supplies, glazing and landscaping are identified before the metalwork reaches the site.
The components are fabricated and trial assembled where useful in the F. Labbé workshop in Nice. Our own team then installs and adjusts the work on site.
