The project

Designed for its setting, use and architecture.

A pergola gives an outdoor space a clear measure, creates shade and connects the building with its garden. Its rhythm, depth and supports are developed around the façade, views, sunlight and the way the terrace will be used.

The design may be deliberately minimal, draw on existing ironwork or support fabric, climbing plants and integrated equipment. Spans, wind exposure and rainwater are addressed from the outset.

What we resolve

The decisions that define the finished work.

Architectural extension

Columns, beams and edges align with the building rather than reading as a standard added kit.

Climate considered

Sun, wind, rainwater, marine exposure and the intended covering inform the structure.

Lightweight detailing

Sections and connections are refined to keep the construction visually controlled.

Integrated equipment

Lighting, retractable elements, drainage and adjacent metalwork can be coordinated during design.

Applications

For private, professional and public projects.

Design and installation are adapted to the building, its users and the site conditions recorded during the survey.

Villa terraces

Gardens and poolside spaces

Hotels and restaurants

Schools and shared outdoor spaces

Our involvement

From site survey to final handover.

Site information feeds into the fabrication drawings, then stays with the workshop and installation team.

  1. Site and shade study

We review orientation, spans, supports, access and the desired use of the space.

  2. Structural detailing

Members, junctions, drainage and interfaces with the covering are developed.

  3. Workshop fabrication

The structure is produced in planned sections and finished for its exposure.

  4. Installation

Columns, beams and secondary elements are assembled and aligned on site.

Frequently asked questions

Useful points before an initial assessment.

Can the pergola be designed to match an existing villa?+

Yes. Proportions, colours and details are developed from the architecture and surrounding metalwork.

Can a pergola carry fabric or climbing plants?+

Yes. The intended covering or planting is considered when loads, fixings, maintenance access and rainwater management are developed.

Are your pergolas suitable for coastal sites?+

Yes, provided the full specification accounts for exposure, finish, fixings and maintenance. These choices are made site by site.
